I’m going to add an amp and a set of speakers to my ford taurus but I don’t want to get a smaller amp then the factory.

Today my brakes went out on the highway. When I realized my parking brake was on ad took it off, my brakes seemed to work fine. Do these two have any affect on eachother in a Ford Taurus?

Need to change the right front ball joint on our 91 Ford Taurus station wagon. Can anyone give detailed instructions on how to do this? I understand that we may have to take the part, once removed, to a shop to have the old ball joint hammered out and the new one put in, but would appreciate instructions on what to do before and after this point – please include the tools we will need.

transmission is slipping slightly.
How much would it cost lo-hi range to fix a transmission problem.
Would flushing the fluid and replacing help, it has never been done.

I have a 1997 ford taurus and my driver’s door used to unlock if i left the key in the ignition and i locked the doors. My dad was working on my car and was messing with the fuse box. He did something to the driver unlock relay. Could that relay be the problem to why it is not unlocking anymore? Thanks for your answers!

I just found the remote contorl of my ford taurus 2000 se died.
Also, I replaced a new battery but it still doesn’t work. I would like to know how to check the locker sensor in the car? Is it possible that I can repair it myself rather than sending it to dealer?

In answer to the reply I got about having the ford taurus for 5 years, and feel lucky it ran that long . I have had the car since it was new 13 years ago. This is the only major problem out of warranty that I have encountered with it. I neglected to say that when it stalls out, there is a strong gas smell from under the hood.
